Massive Recruitment Drive in MP, 7,500 Police Constable Posts Among 15,000 Vacancies

A major update has emerged for young aspirants preparing for government jobs in Madhya Pradesh. The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (ESB) has released a detailed calendar of recruitment and entrance examinations for the year 2026, under which the recruitment process will be conducted for nearly more than 15,000 posts across various departments. The calendar includes recruitments in the police, education, health, jail, and several other departments.

According to the schedule released by the Employees Selection Board, a total of 16 recruitment examinations and 5 entrance examinations will be conducted during the year. Around 2 million candidates are expected to participate in these examinations, making it one of the largest selection drives at the state level. Through these examinations, long vacant posts in different government departments are to be filled.

Police department recruitment forms a major part of this calendar. Under this, the recruitment process for approximately 7,500 constable posts has been scheduled. This recruitment includes a written examination along with physical efficiency tests and document verification. The selection process is conducted strictly as per prescribed standards and merit, ensuring adequate manpower in the police force.

Apart from this, recruitments will be conducted for jail warder posts in the jail department, Group 5 and other technical and paramedical posts in the health department, and clerical and assistant level posts under Group 2, Group 3, and Group 4 in other departments. These examinations follow an evaluation system based on general studies, subject specific questions, and departmental requirements.

Examinations related to the education department are also a significant part of the calendar. Under this, a teacher eligibility test is to be conducted for nearly 30,000 teacher posts. This examination is proposed to be held during July and August. The objective of the eligibility test is to identify suitable candidates for primary and secondary level teaching positions, forming the base for future teacher recruitment processes.

Along with recruitment examinations, entrance examinations have also been included in the calendar. These entrance tests are conducted for admission into nursing, paramedical, agriculture, and other professional courses. Through these examinations, seats in educational institutions are allotted on the basis of merit. The number of candidates appearing in these entrance examinations is also significantly high.

The application process for all recruitments and examinations conducted by the Employees Selection Board is carried out online. Information related to eligibility criteria, age limit, reservation rules, examination dates, syllabus, and selection procedure is released through separate official notifications. Admit cards, answer keys, and examination results are also made available only through the official portal.

This recruitment calendar issued by the state government and the Employees Selection Board is considered an important step not only in providing employment opportunities to the youth but also in ensuring continuous availability of human resources across administrative and service sectors in the state.
